More than 200 research studies point to a
new paradigm of learning. When students engage in just
10-15 minutes of rhythmic aerobic activity before an academic
task, their success at that task soars. In a California study,
test scores rose almost 25% - a goal almost every school in
the nation seeks as NCLB funding demands measurable academic
results.
Perhaps common practices that
remove more and more PE (and art and dance) from the daily
school experience for almost 75% of our nation's children
should be re-examined. Using the research that says,
"10-15 minutes of rhytmic aerobic activity before a an
academic task leads to greater success at that task" we
developed a student-led program called Generation FIT.
Children - not just elementary, but all
students, need to move. Brain research explains how a brain
functions and learns. Movement and oxygen are key. Even
more importantly, the 80% of us who are kinesthetic learners
can focus and concentrate better when movement is regular
every day. We have spent two years collecting data and
research to support this claim. The resulting
study provided proof that EXERLEARNING
works! Take a look at our
Exerlearning BLOG to discover many GenXe3 strategies that make
