Grades 9-12 The objective of Generation Fit for high school students is to serve students in the following areas:
  • Improve fitness
  • Increase academic success
  • development of inter-personal and leadership skills.
  • Provide entrepreneurial/small business management skills
  • Motivation for increased school attendance and engagement in the learning process
  • Provide a sense of belonging and value to the school community
  • Integrate technology and fitness
  • Provide a powerful life-skills program for at-risk and hard-to-reach students
When a high school subscribes to the Generation FIT curriculum and purchases a minimum of three dance stations, we will provide the guidance and resources that will allow a classroom teacher, business class, club or after school program to generate funds for the school while providing a teen-tested learning opportunity.

There is a great deal of funding available for projects like this. Take a look at our Service Learning for Teachers section.

Gen Xe3- Catalyst to exciting learning opportunities

We have developed a Faculty Wellness  program that can engage your at-risk students, especially those in the pivotal grade 9-10 years.

What is the Gen Xe3™ Program?

The 30% of a high school population struggling most with literacy, the ones most likely to be disengaged in school or at risk of dropping out, will lead the Gen Xe3 program.  They will be certified for both fitness and mentor roles, apply for “work” in an Exerlearning program and/or the Faculty Wellness  opportunity.  Trained students will share time and talents with peers and the greater community – both via being mentored and mentoring younger peers.

Projected Outcomes - Participating students will:

  1. Increase reading scores by 15% (teacher assessment)
  2. Increase engagement in school (pre and post survey)
  3. Decrease absences by 20% in 9-week project (school measures)
  4. Provide at least 20 hours mentoring peers (time schedule)
  5. Contract for academic productivity to be accomplished BEFORE the student can fulfill GenXe3 and Faculty Wellness roles (contract and teacher assessment)
  6. Increase physical activity by 60 minutes per week (time sheet)
  7. Become aware of unique talents and valuable expertise
